MTY DRAFTS TOMLINSON #1

Another season draft came and went here in S13, and Monterrey found themselves the holders of the #1 pick. They decided to choose Tom Tomlinson, a 2B type from Patagonia Union HS in Patagonia, AZ. Unlike former picks in prior season drafts, Tomlinson decided to not waste any time and signed for the $4.0M slot bonus. Tomlinson bring a big-time bat to the table. He hits well against both lefties and righties, and has legit ML power. He doesn't have great defense to play 2B, so expect a position change once he finally hits the majors (1B/LF would be my first guess). With the #1 pick in the draft, comes the pressure of making sure you pick the right player. As far as I've seen with Tomlinson, the Tazmanian Devils hit a sure-fire Home Run.
