TRADE RECAP

..............................................................................................................................................................................

Usually the big FA signings get the headlines in the offseason, but there have been a couple key trades which have occurred as well. Here's some of them:

Big trade involving Vancouver and Philadelphia, where Arthur LeCroy heads to VAN in exchange for Steve Wynn. Philadelphia continues to upgrade their lineup, and LeCroy gives Vancouver that bullpen presence they haven't had since Jaime Jeffries.

Richmond continues to upgrade their pitching as they obtained Bo Simpson from San Diego, in exchange for Matthew King. Simpson gives RIC another bullpen option, while King's combination of slick fielding and quick bat gives SD another offensive weapon.

Syracuse obtained Ron Singleton from Vancouver, in exchange for prospects Jo-jo Reid and Victor Bautista. Singleton is an above average bullpen option which will help SYR. Vancouver, along with saving salary, gets a reliever for the future in Reid and a slick fielding SS in Bautista.
