KATOU BACK IN SD

It looks as if Donovan's deal with ROC isn't the only huge deal going down today. Sports Radio XX 1090-AM is reporting that the San Diego Padres have officially inked FA 2B James Katou to another monster deal. The numbers of Katou's deal: 5yr/70.2M, including 10M guaranteed bonus and a player option.

KATOU: BACK IN SD

Katou is very familiar with the San Diego franchise, as he called SD home for several seasons in S5 through S7. SD then shipped Katou to ROC, with a brief stop in San Juan shortly after. For a while, it didn't seem like Katou would ever find a permanent home. However, with this large contract signed, Katou can safely call SD "home".. (at least for now!).
