RECORDS MADE TO BE BROKEN

..............................................................................................................................................................................

ALAN PATRICK, SP

Austin Bats SP Alan Patrick has already tied the record for most wins in a season. He tied Lou Roberts' record of 23 wins set all the way back in S2. Considering we're only at game #146 in the season, there's a good chance that Patrick can not only break the record, but smash it. It's all up to Austin management to make that decision. They've had the AL South won for weeks already, so Patrick could see himself resting for the remainder of the season. We shall see.

HIDEKI SHIN, SP

Montgomery Smooth Skies SP Hideki Shin is on pace to set a new record for lowest ERA in a single season. If he maintains his 1.80 ERA, it will break the record set by Hideo Yoshii back in S11. Shin could also find himself in the same boat as Patrick, and could be rested by Montgomery management. However, that would work to Shin's advantage and the record would most definitely be his to take.

The SJW Blog wishes good luck to both men as they chase their respective records.
