IGLESIAS JOINS THE BLUE SOX

1510 AM The Zone in Pawtucket, Rhode Island is the first to report that the Pawtucket Blue Sox have come to terms with International Free Agent Donaldo Iglesias. The two sides agreed on a minor league contract with a spring training invite, and also included a bonus of $21.9M.


Iglesias has the potential to be a frontline ace for Pawtucket. He may not have the pinpoint accuracy that most teams crave, but combine the velocity along with the effectiveness of his top two pitches (4-Seam FB, Curveball) makes Iglesias one of Pawtucket's top prospects right off the bat.


Iglesias was assigned to High A, where he is scheduled to make his first start of the season this week.
