(in no particular order)...
Hal Bynum TO SD
San Diego won 99 games last season (mumcoach's personal Padre best) and earned a trip to the S13 World Series. They were overmatched by Cincinnati, but they're still damn good. Add Bynum to their rotation, and they'll be just as tough this season. They gave up 3 young players, including stud hitter Oliver Theriot. However, it's a deal you have to make.
Bill Barkley TO MNT
I've never seen a former #1 overall pick get dealt as much as Barkley. Montgomery had a shot to get the slugger, and they jumped all over the opportunity. They give up 3 MLers in the deal, headlined by P Bob Chapman. Barkley will wearing a MNT jersey (we think) when he hits career HR #300, and he'll make the MNT lineup even more tougher than before.
Ariel Rosado TO CIN
Many heads turned to Richmond when they announced Rosado was available. And of course, who was the first to inquire? The defending champs, that's who. The rich get richer, and Rosado is now a Blue Darter. Ron Breen also came over in the deal (who was later dealt to KC), and 3 players headed to RIC (headlined by ML P Carlos Rios). There's no reason to think Rosado won't be any less dominant in a Blue Darter jersey, and that makes the defending champs so much better.
Paul LeCroy TO JAC
Jackson has been on the cusp of greatness for a couple seasons now. They'll flirt with .500, then drop back down. Getting a guy like LeCroy to anchor your rotation is a huge move. His veteran presence in the rotation will mean a LOT toward Jackson's success. They gave up Nolan Carlyle in the deal, and he'll be good in time.. but Jackson needed to make this deal.
Julian Tarraga TO PHI
Philadelphia is still playing for the future, and Tarraga figures to be a huge part of it. He's a mega-stud who signed as an IFA last season, and he'll be a superstar once he arrives in the ML. They gave OKC 2 solid young relievers and solid SP Cody Tremie in the deal, but PHI has no regrets.
OTHER NOTABLE TRADES
Hank Hall TO JAC; Tomas Ramirez TO OKC; Hi Priest TO SD
