TRANSACTION OF THE WEEK

ROCHESTER REACQUIRES GRIFFITH

The Rochester Mountain Dwellers acquired a brief taste of the past earlier this week as they brought back RP Mac Griffith to the team. Griffith was a huge part of Rochester's title winning teams, becoming a dominant setup man for all-star closer Hick Quinn.

Before the season started, Rochester traded Griffith, along with Bartolo Cruz and Don Morris to the Monterrey Tazmanian Devils in exchange for Brandon Walker, Wally Lansing, and Matty Rose. Sitting at the top of the NL North for the time being, but not too comfortably, Rochester felt it was necessary to reboost their bullpen for the 2nd half of the season. They hope that Griffith will continue to be the reliever that he was once the first time around.
