GONZALES HEADS TO VEGAS

The IFA signing game here in Shoeless Joe is pretty much a waiting game. There are some who sign the first decent IFA that comes along. Then there are some, like Las Vegas, who wait. In this case, the waiting paid off. Las Vegas came to terms with Raul Gonzales on a minor league contract. This guy can flat out hit. He won't blast 40+ HR's a season, but he'll give you 200 hits and a .300+ average. Oh yeah, he's got the defense too. Maybe not SS caliber, but put him anywhere else and he'll work wonders. As long as this guy stays healthy, Vegas finds themselves one heck of a steal.
