H-ROD CALLS IT A CAREER

..............................................................................................................................................................................

HECTOR RODRIGUEZ

We recently saw one of Shoeless Joe's most talented baseball players walk away from the game for good. Hector Rodriguez made his retirement official at a press conference last week. H-Rod is best known for holding the HR and RBI single season records, 75 and 191, respectively. He's a 6-time All Star who's also won the MVP award 3 separate times. He also has 3 World Series rings to his credit. Hector earned the majority of his numbers for Jacksonville (Jackson), Pawtucket, and then Rochester. He began a 2nd stint with Pawtucket in S10 before filing for free agency at the end of the season. He was picked up by Trenton in S11 before being released later in spring training, and then eventually retiring all together. Hector has a .310 career BA with 436 career HR and 1243 career RBI. When he becomes HOF eligible, you can bet your bottom dollar that H-Rod will be headed there.
