TRANSACTION OF THE WEEK

SYRACUSE GETS IFA STEAL

When we get to this point of the season, it gets rather difficult to find quality moves made. We're past the trade deadline, and most ML rosters are already set for the rest of the season. So when we saw this IFA get signed, we knew we found our winner. Syracuse was able to land 3B Willie Carrasquel to a minor league contract. Carrasquel has decent defense with above average splits, and has the potential to eventually hit the majors. Signed for only $790K, it saves the Iriquois enough money to possibly land some other IFA's later down the road.
