This time of the year has us reading about big trades happening and FA's changing teams for large amounts of cash. We don't hear too often about players wanting to stay with their current team. Well, that story just landed in our laps.

JAMES SIERRA
The SJW Blog has learned that RIC SP James Sierra has signed an extension to remain with the club. He signed a 5yr/30M extenstion that will go into effect next season. Sierra went 9-6 with a 4.02 ERA last season. This extension shows that RIC has faith in Sierra, and they expect big things from him in the future.
