BILLY LAMB IS NOW A REDHAWK

A mega-deal just went down between the Oklahoma City Blitz and the Cincinnati Blue Darters. Billy Lamb, one of the most feared hitters in Shoeless Joe history, was dealt to the Redhawks today in exchange for veteran CF Steve Wynn and two minor-leaguers.

Lamb joins the newly acquired Geronimo Elcano to give Oklahoma City a serious "pop" in the middle of their lineup. Lamb may not be the same hitter as in the Boston days when he was racking up MVP awards like they were nothing, but he's still damn good.

Wynn isn't an everyday player anymore, but he can still play. Expect Wynn to be a part-time player, with speciality spots as a pinch hitter against lefties. The two minor leaguers going to Cincinnati are AAA C Alexander Brown and AA SP Benji Taveras. Brown is a potential all-star C who calls a great game and has a decent bat. Taveras has the potential to be an upper tier SP.

Cincinnati could make out like a bandit in this trade, but if Lamb helps get OKC a World Series title, then it could be well worth it.
