CINCY PROMOTES SIZEMORE, MOSS

..............................................................................................................................................................................

We are 25 games into the regular season, and the Milwaukee Naturals are on absolute fire with a 22-3 record. Sitting safely in second place are the Cincinnati Blue Darters, with a 15-10 record. Now normally you'd be quite satisfied with a .600 win percentage, but the Blue Darters find themselves 7 games back already. Too early to be worried? Perhaps, but Cincinnati wasted no time in improving their ML team.

Two big-time SPs were promoted to the ML level, Pete Sizemore and Anderson Moss.

Sizemore was the #2 pick back in the S9 draft, originally drafted by the Memphis franchise. He was dealt to Cincinnati in S10 in a 5-player deal. Sizemore is arguably one of the most talented pitchers Shoeless Joe has ever seen. He's equally as dominating against both lefties and righties, and he has a loaded arsenal of pitches that can get out the toughest hitter.

Moss was the #3 pick back in S8, drafted originally by the Jackson franchise. In the same season they acquired Sizemore, Moss was dealt to Cincy in a deal that sent Orber Aparicio to Jackson. Moss is probably just a hair under Sizemore in overall talent, but there's not much of a difference. He's ah legit innings eater who will be able to wear down opposing lineups. His 4-seam fastball is just plain nasty.

Cincy timed these promotions pretty well; not only will these two SPs help keep the Blue Darters within striking distance of the Naturals, but they also will gain "super two" status. We'll keep an eye on both Moss and Sizemore as they both make their way closer to their respective ML debuts.
