TRANSACTION OF THE WEEK

MILT KIPLING SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION

In a sport where players don't usually stay loyal to their teams, it's refreshing to see a star such as Milt Kipling remain with his current team. Instead of testing free agency after the season, Kipling decided to resign with the Threepeat-Champion Rochester Mountain Dwellers on a new 5-year contract. The total worth of the deal is $34M, and includes a mutual option for the final year of the deal, which is in S14. If Rochester is to remain competitive [and we all are pretty sure they will], then keeping Kipling around was a definite must.
