TERRY

The Kansas City Pine Tar placed P Ted Terry on the 15 day DL with a dislocated shoulder. Terry suffered the injury in the 4th inning of the 10/20 PM2 game against the Los Angeles BLUE bombers. Taking Terry's spot on the roster is Morgan Grimsley, who was promoted from AAA.

The New York Nippers placed DH Abdullah Terry on the 15 day DL with a strained shoulder. Terry suffered the injury in the 3rd inning of the 10/21 AM cycle game against the Memphis Rum Runners. Taking Terry's spot on the roster is Stone Ransom, who was promoted from AAA.

CORPAS

The Pawtucket Fire Cats signed IFA Carlos Corpas. Corpas is an 18 year old CF with blazing speed. He is a good contact hitter who hits relatively well against righties. Corpas was assigned to their rookie team, and later promoted to the ML level when rosters expanded.

The Vancouver VooDoo placed 2B Hector Cerda on the 15 day DL with a strained hamstring. Cerda was injured in the 4th inning on the 10/22 AM cycle game against the Monterrey Ping the Rookies.

The Austin Bats signed a trio of FA veterans. Wilson Daal, Michael Darwin, and Footsie Gates all agreed to terms with the Austin franchise. Daal and Gates last played in S9 with Richmond and Vancouver, respectively. Darwin returns to Austin as he left the club in the offseason, opting to file for free agency.

The Santa Fe Santa Clauses claimed P Dennis Parkinson off waivers. Parkinson was placed on waivers on 10/22 by the New York Nippers.




The Austin Bats agreed to contract extensions with Livan Lee and Rigo Mercado. Lee is an all-star caliber closer who has converted 33 of 34 saves and a 2.13 ERA in S9. Mercado, acquired from the San Juan Expos earlier in the season, has 39 HR and 113 RBI combined with San Juan and Austin so far in S9.

The Richmond Barking Spiders placed P Reid Farr on the 15 day DL with an elbow fracture. Farr is 10-9 with a 5.17 ERA so far in S9. Taking Farr's place on the roster is Vicente Arrojo, who was promoted from AAA.
